When Melanie first emailed me to schedule a shoot, I could feel the excitement in her email. I just had one of those moments, where I knew she’d be one of those great clients that I actually like. Well, really, anyone who starts the email with ‘Love your pictures!’ is a winner in my book, but after meeting her, and her husband Jack, I know that my instincts were right. These are two incredibly nice people. I can’t wait to meet + photograph their little one when he/she arrives.
Her plan was to have these photos taken to tell a very, very special surprise to her friends + family. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond her control, she wasn’t able to tell everyone the way she had hoped, but either way, I think it’s the sweetest thing, and I think that when their baby is an adult, and sees these photos, and sees that their Mom made a stocking for them before they were even born, they’ll totally love it.
Their house has been in Jack’s family for years, so it was important to them to include it in the photos…And I love this one.
This next one was Melanie’s idea, and I’m so glad she suggested it, because I LOVE it.
And this was Jack’s favorite pose, because he didn’t have to look + smile.
Since this was a mini shoot, that’s all I have of this great couple, but I really hope to be photographing them again in the future!
